The Be Different Collective
Clare Babbage - Be Different
Founder of the Be Different Studio, Clare is a revolutionary at heart with a good dose of practical mystic thrown into the mix. She has been described as “The least ‘woo’ energy worker I have ever met” and that’s not a bad description as her background includes over 2 decades in social services supporting transformation for individuals and organisations.
She has created Be Different Studio to provide an opportunity for other practitioners to bring their gifts to the Hawkes Bay community. So reach out if you are keen to join The Be Different Collective.

Sydney Hapi - Te Mauri Hauora
Kia ora, my name is Sydney Hapi, and I am of Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Porou, Rongowhakaata, and Rongomaiwahine descent. My healing journey has been deeply transformative, and I believe in the importance of doing our own inner healing so that we don’t pass unresolved burdens onto our tamariki and mokopuna. Through Te Mauri Hauora, my mahi is centered around holistic healing, wairua and mauri clearing, and supporting others on their journey to well-being.
I offer Access Bars®, a gentle yet powerful modality that helps release mental, emotional, and energetic blockages, bringing more clarity, ease, and balance into life. Creating safe and sacred spaces for healing is my passion, and I’m excited to share this journey with you all.
Sarah Findlay - Conscious Early Learning
After a decade in early childhood education, I found myself burnt out, disconnected from my body, and caught in reactive patterns I swore I’d never pass on. Becoming a mother cracked me open - and sent me deep into healing, reparenting, and nervous system regulation. What I discovered changed everything.
Now, through Conscious Early Learning, I guide parents, grandparents and early childhood teachers to break generational cycles by getting to the root of the subconscious beliefs shaping how we show up for the children in our lives.
I blend conscious parenting and teaching, emotion-focused therapy, somatic tools and indigenous wisdom from Te Ao Māori into grounded, embodied support - helping you move from stress and shame into self-trust and connection.
With a Bachelor of Teaching in ECE, a background in holistic coaching, and lived experience of transformation, I’m here to bridge the gaps between home and centre, head and heart, past and future.
Look out for my Day Retreats at the Studio for anyone providing childcare and education who wants to do this consciously.
Janis Victoria Dunning - Play At Life
My work is based on the belief that life is meant to feel magical , not heavy. After spending many years not loving, honouring or even liking myself, it's now my life's work to guide women on a journey of self love, empowerment and playfulness. I want you to become your favourite version of you and build a life full of love, fulfilment and fun.
At Play at Life, I guide women back to the joy, curiosity and wonder, they were always meant to feel.
Through playful experiences, soulful mentorship, and energy-led connection, you'll awaken the Playful Goddess within you.
I am a qualified yoga teacher and fitness instructor who uses the Studio to provide positive, energy filled events that spark self connection and joy. I also provide 1-1 mentoring to support your journey back to you.
Natasha Mathis - Hearth and Soul
Natasha Mathis is the heart and hands behind Hearth and Soul where she is busy creating sacred spaces for deep healing and crafting beautiful things that bring people joy. With a gift for holding space and guiding others back to their inner wisdom, she weaves together her loves (yoga, tarot, massage, crystal bowls, crafting and living with love) in a life that is full of tending and art. You will see Natasha in Napier, often accompanied by her exuberant dogs Monty and Lily, as she gardens, enjoys a good salad or walks by the sea.
Whether through group gatherings, 1:1 sessions, or soulful retreats, Natasha’s work is a powerful invitation to return home to yourself.
At the Studio Natasha provides Tarot classes and monthly ceremonies to honour the Elements of nature and spirit and to soak in the singing of the crystal bowls.

Jess Wheeler - Human Connection
I am the Director of Human Connection, where we create immersive experiences that help people reconnect with themselves and others.
I believe every person has unique gifts and talents, and my role is to support their growth in a safe, nurturing. Creative and healing space. Just like in my Energy healing sessions where I act as a bridge between worlds. I also am a bridge and to immersive events such as silent headphone meditations, creative crafts, aqua fitness, and other experiences designed to nourish the mind, body, and spirit.
I’m always open to collaborating with like-minded leaders, healers, and creatives who are here to uplift and inspire collective healing. I believe that we need to focus on the solutions and tools to reconnecting to ourselves in order for our rangatahi and the generations after us to lead the way forwards.
